Domestic Photovoltaic Power System - Multi Hybrid

Multi Hybrid systems consists of two states: Multi Hybrid Island System

Grid Mode

When grid power is available the energy would be fed into the energy utility's network and thus reduce energy requirements from energy suppliers. In grid mode no cycling of batteries would occur thus expanding life of batteries.

Island mode

In case of grid failure the system would operate in island mode. The grid inverter would feed power directly to the appliances during daytime. Surplus power generated by Photovoltaics or wind would be charged into the batteries by the island inverters. During night or high peak demand times the island system would supply power to the appliances.

Advantages of the Multi Hybrid System

  • These systems are very flexible and reliable
  • In grid mode no cycling of batteries will occur
  • The system can use Grid or Generator for backup, in case demand exceeds inverter capacity.
  • These systems are easily upgradable by stacking similar inverters in parallel on the same distribution line
  • Can be used to run single or three phase
  • Can be used with grid inverters to increase capacity during daytime
  • Chargers will charge additional power generated by grid inverters to batteries
  • Can check on system via Internet or SMS
  • Can go off grid in small steps
  • There is backup in case of excessive draw or batteries failure(low power)
